Artist Profile - Marisa

This is a sample of an editing piece I completed in collaboration with a local Vancouver director while completing an internship at PostPro Media. I was given about three hours worth of interview and dance performance footage and full creative freedom.

I chose to intercut Marisa’s spoken word poem with her interview and dance by finding visuals that complimented what she was speaking about. The overlying message of her interview is further reinforced by the poem. I also matched her movements in the dance with how she moved while she was sitting and talking, making for a powerful visual experience to match her vibrant personality and strong message.
